Located on Point Fosdick Drive, the Gig Harbor Pierce County Library is an important resource for the people in the community. The 15,000 square-foot library opened in 1990, and more than 5,000 people use the facility every week. Its fiction collection is made up of more than 29,000 books. The library offers free Wi-Fi and computers for both adults and kids to use. People can check out audio books and DVDs. Signing up for a library card takes about five minutes with a valid identification. The library also holds various events throughout the year which are sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Public restrooms are also available.
