But how do hard numbers like roadholding g-forces and stopping distances translate to seemingly arbitrary spider charts like the one seen here?

Two segments can be noticed by the average consumer, while-- get this-- a difference of three segments can be noticed by "your grandmother." Regardless of the (relative) charms of illustrating a tire's capabilities via infographic, there's no substitute for firsthand experience-- and indeed, our?recent test at NOLA Motorsports Park revealed favorable seat of the pants impressions against its competitors, with exceptional performance on wet autocross courses. The moral of the story? Perhaps we have more in common with our grandmothers than we care to admit.
